I'm copy/pasting a mass email I sent out tonight cause I know! i forgot some people:
Sorry for the impersonal mass e-mail, but there are so many of you that I thought I would just send out a generic e-mail. Some of you I haven’t spoken to in Ages (and I apologize) Some of you might have different e-mail addresses (in which case you wouldn't be reading this message), some of you might have no idea what I am talking about, and some of you don't even read English… (Ciao!)Some of you I didn’t even get a chance to hug goodbye, or let alone say goodbye to.
As much as I wanted out, and I’m happy to move on, I’m realizing I’m going to miss Bard, my friends, and my dysfunctional alcoholic family in Village Dorm BB more than I thought I would.
Graduation was fun… but man did Bob Red talk a lot… or maybe it was too hot outside (and inside the plastic gown) to enjoy. i attached a picture of me in the dumb hat for your viewing pleasure.
So anyway I’m back in the big apple… staying on the upper east side with my grandmother until I settle… (anyone looking for a roommate? Hehe) Looking for a place – looking for a job – looking for a life. I feel totally in limbo, but in a good way I guess.
I just got back from Vegas and Arizona with my mom, got totally drunk on martinis together but I refused to gamble, but my mom told me to play a couple rounds at the slot machine, just because we’re in Vegas – and you gotta gamble in Vegas! I put in a couple quarters, and then all of a sudden… DING DING DING! The thingy goes bananas, and starts pooping quarters, that I proceeded to cash immediately. 200 bucks – yes sir! Beginner’s luck I guess.. or maybe sheer blind luck. Never got round to taking that photo with celine dion though… too bad… It would’ve been hilarious…god I hater her so much… next time I guess…
I’m planning a little trip to Iceland this month… around the 15th. Yay I just got my employment card in the mail two days ago, so I can safely book my flight and come back to the US no problem… yay No idea yet as to when I’m going home… probably the end of the summer for a little while.
Anyway – I don’t have a lot of you guy’s contact info. Do hit me back with email addresses, IM screen names, phone numbers, friendster profiles, live journals and such. And Do keep in touch…
I hope everyone’s having a good summer. And if you’re around NYC do give me buzz, and we’ll hang out or go for a drink… and If you’re not – come and visit!
here is my info for some of your who don't have it: phone: 646 337 1388 email: paola_bakalian@hotmail.com (i also use msn) Do email at hotmail - i'm emailing from yahoo cause hotmail was being a bitch tonight... aim: elctropool
Hugs and Kisses, Paola

So i wake up this morning, and open the door to my room, and um...
hahhahha and by the way we are all moving in a week or so, so these are not boxes of liquor we've consumed, but empty boxes we've collected at the back of the liquor store for packing...

This is one of the most fucked up things i've heard of in months!!!
its a new FOX reality tv show called THE SWAN!
"The Swan offers ugly ducklings to transforms themselves into a beautiful swan. It offers women the incredible opportunity to undergo physical, mental and emotional transformations and follows them through the process.
Each of the contestants will be assigned a team of specialists -- a coach, therapist, trainer, cosmetic surgeon, dentist and stylist -- that will work together to design the perfect individually-tailored program. each of the first nine episodes of the ten episode series will follow two of the contestants as they undergo cosmetic surgery and work through a three-month intensive "boot camp" of exercise, diet, therapy and inspiration to achieve their goal.
At the conclusion of each episode, the contestants will participant in a "final reveal" in which, for the first time since entering the program, they will be permitted to see themselves in a mirror.
Then, after the reveal, one contestant will be selected to advance to the grand finale's two-hour "1st Annual Swan Pageant."
WHAT THE FUCK?!?

Some news for you all. Gravenhurst has signed to Warp Records. The latest album Flashlight Seasons will be re-issued on Warp shortly. Gravenhurst is currently recording a new album. Bronnt album is now complete and the duo are negotiating with record company executives, with the aid of pliers and a blowtorch in a lock-up in Kilburn, to secure a release. Praise Thoth it will be soon.

ok this is a class thought by a guy called Adolfas Mekas... indie film legend, with a thick eastern europen accent, and Einstein style white hair, now turned 70, he is giving his last class ever... this man's crazy and bordeline alcoholic! hahah but he's brilliant...
class starts tonight... (previous seniors have told us to bring bottles of wine to the screenings hehe)
here's the course description:
Course No. FILM 315 Title Cinemagic IX Professor: Adolfas Mekas Schedule: Tu 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm PRE FILM
This is the ninth and final edition of the infamous Cinemagic class. It is a sentimental journey through the idyllic times of pre-World War II, through the horrors of war, and into the wonders and magic of cinema. Many films will be screened: some good, some very bad, and a few that will remain after we are all gone. The highlight of the course is the screening of Masaki Kobayashi's "The Human Condition," a trilogy 11 hours long, and "The Gospel According to St. Matthew," directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini from a script by St. Matthew and dialogue by Jesus Christ. Each screening will be preceded by a theme song, a short film and a long talk. Past and present political and social conditions will be recalled from a personal point of view of a man whose entire life was and still is devoted to the cultural manifestations of his generation. No pre-registration. Film Majors will have priority at registration.
god i love liberal arts schools!!! hahahahha
on a side note, not ALL classes are THAT fun, we do actually do work you know? hehe

lebanese/lesbian... old joke... close enough though...
internet here couldn't possibly be slower! it takes about a whole minute (and sometimes two) to load a page in the browser... so i wont be posting much, if at all...
my aunt seems to be doing a little better... not entirely comatose anymore... she's sorta between sleep and waking... she sortof responds to sounds and blinks and moves her fingers and stuff... i guess it'll be a long healing process.. but i'm happy she's shown some progress.
i'm spending an intimate with my family just the six of us... my parents and my 3 sisters... which will be nice for once.
helsinki in little over a week, looking forward to it much. see you soon ama and others...
hope everyone's done well on finals, and are keeping warm wish everyone happy holidays...
*hugs*

My friend Brenan has one of those weird picture holders that are made of a vertical stick with some sort of clamping device to hold the photo up. you know the ones i'm talking about... right? and we were joking around playing with it talking about it, and all of a sudden i said one of the funniest things i've said in yonks... Berg the talking nipple clamp! i'm gonna make a flash animation cartoon about the aventures of Berg...
I don't know if its because i've been listening to Berg sans nipple all day, or that my friend brendan's last name is Berg... and we just happened to be joking about nipple clamps.. but it suddenly stroke me about an hour later, when i went back to my room, the uncanny coincidence between the band name and the night's fun and games. I mean when i first said the adventures of..... i wasn't thikning of the band or its name at all....so i'm thinking maybe doctor freud was right after all... you do have an unconscious at work! dont you? hehe so anyway look out for my animation soon FOR REAL!! i'm gonna do it... the adventures of "Berg, the talking nipple clamp"
ITS SHEER BRILLIANT!!
